This morning I had to jump through hoops again...I bought a new kettle - the old one had expired...as well as a toaster...and was given good advice by an 'Army wife' at the till - to take out the HOMEBASE insurance or else if I wanted to take it back to have it repaired...I would have to go to COLCHESTER and they would only repair it if it bust within 28 days of buying it...she had had this problem with an iron...I had 'seen' what had happened to her...MARK R and CO at this so-called repair dept...they simply reprogrammed her...and the iron broke again in a week or so, afterwards...so I bought the insurance at £1.10 a year for 3 years for both items - so that I can exchange the goods in the shop, immediately.

I also went to the computer shop at OLD ROAD...I had gone in there previously to note TOMLINSON's 'red car' mouse by the shop till computer - I played around with it...it has now been removed and a black one installed...anyway, I bought a new VGA lead to have a go at getting my old COMPAQ computer to work...
