A bit 'PROUST'...

I was wondering about FRENCH 'ETHNOGRAPHIE' yesterday...how RIMINGTON had sent me into the B'HAM central library 'reserve' section - in order to find some books for her...and I 'knew' precisely which ones to order for her, to look at...I went through the card index and then looked them up on blue microfiche, to make sure (with more detail) that they were the books that she would need to read...

I wonder now...this is all tied up with FRENCH/SWISS-FRENCH stuff...firstly that looking 'Arab' is very similar to looking typically French...

Secondly, that NINI who lived in GHANA for many years (my father's cousin - whom he knew well, having gone to school in Neuchatel), had just about every possible book on French ethnography as far as I am concerned...and a large amount of African art work...carvings, masks...you name it...her flat was always tastefully designed upon this theme...

I then remembered COLLETTE telling me the books to read...and RIMINGTON wanted to read them...I never came back to have a look at them...it was all for her...although I later remembered this as a BOURNVILLE art college research project... inspiration for art work...

I wonder now - if this was RIMINGTON's early foray into researching the PYGMY TRIBE of CANNIBALS...i.e. the ROCKEFELLER COLONY in TUNISIA...formerly the HYKSOS according to AMADEUS...
