i have just had a letter back from MRS S MCNAUGHTON-STEELE of NPOWER complaints team.
Attached to the letter is my total ELECTRICITY and GAS bill.
NPOWER are now claiming that I owe in total for GAS: £470.13
NPOWER have now issued me with a bill for £124.96
i will now reply to MS MCNAUGHTON-STEELE with the following email:
Dear Mrs McNaughton-Steele,
You have not answered the question posed in my previous email.
I would now like as full an answer as possible and in a ‘legal’ sense of the word - for example, as if you were answering this particular question, in court.
We all want to know where we stand - don’t we? I would like to clear up any ‘misunderstandings’ beforehand - in order to make sure that all avenues have been explored and differences resolved before a court case is deemed necessary.
Therefore even though you have refused to answer my question so far (and so has NPOWER in general) I would now politely request an immediate reply from you, to this question:
Why have I been charged a similar amount for two different meters - when one meter has registered almost half of the gas usage?
In a legal sense - this might interest you - I have signed witnesses, in relation to the date and gas usage, in relation to the first meter and a gas engineer and NPOWER meter reader witness, for the second meter.
Please answer as promptly as you can and answer in detail.
Kind regards,
Emily Gyde
PS I might also add an example of a wealthy businessman who owns a mansion in the countryside - he has a wife and four children - they have used a considerable amount more gas than I have (gas central heating/boiler system) - yet they have only been charged about £285 for a similar period. I find this difficult to understand considering I am only 1 person in a 1-bedroom flat (with minimal gas usage) but perhaps you could supply some answers?
PPS Remember to reply in a ‘legal sense’ so that I can get a good idea of where NPOWER stands upon this technical point and ‘legal issue’.
