Yes, for those of you who guessed correctly - it is a SEAHORSE.

I might add that as a first attempt - it was certainly better than my 'Chinese severed head'...much more abstract and 'imaginative' so I would guess that it was linked to his programming...it certainly shocked his family - when presented to them as a 'gift'. My artwork used to have the same effect upon my parents.
