I have noted this some time ago...but better to isolate it again in comparison to another oddity which GILL had pointed out:

...and then TEXAN COWBOY BROAD-BEAMED COWBOY HATS AND SLICK MEN IN BLACK SUITS for the 20th century.
They have done so, since the 1960s or maybe even before that...but for how much longer?

THE CAESAR/CENTURION HAT is something that isn't an 'indigenous military helmet' to the EAST.
