what is this new blog of note all about?
it mainly talks about COLOUR.
How you can get accurate colour - consonant with reality.
How you can make your photographs look like 'artwork' - by changing the colour via computer programs.
How when you take a picture of somebody - they will be reacting to you, your personality and behaviour - and the photograph will pick that up. The blog says that you are a mirror- no, you aren't.
"Here's my most important people photography tip: The camera looks both ways, in picturing the subject, you are also picturing a part of yourself. In other words, you are a mirror"
You aren't reflecting back their own image when you take a photo - you are imposing your own 'impression' upon that person and at quite a few different levels.
They in turn are looking at you and reacting to what they see in you and they may reflect that back to you i.e. if you look angry - that may make them angry and defensive...or it may not, they might look scared for example, or nervous...so let us have less of the mirror talk here...
A photography camera can never be used as a mirror...if you want a more accurate analogy of a 'mirror' then you would have to talk about a video camera...a CCTV one perhaps...because a CCTV camera, like a mirror upon the wall, picks up the moving image...the only difference is that the mirror doesn't record that moving image...unless it is a JAMES BOND 'spy mirror' ha ha...
