a typical note that HENRY would send to GILL - when I got bored...yes, the relationship between HENRY and GILL was always a tenuous one...MARTINE ended up hating him and HENRY was out to protect MARTINE and so helped MCDONALD to 'get GILL' now and then...
...and the final note was struck by MR DE NIRO in terms of 'he's funny guy' don't waste your emotions - he's not worth it...and he wasn't...consummately self-obsessed with his own needs and unable to grow up in relation to SUBWAY etc etc...
"serves him right" as MARTINE once said...yes, the children were very hard-hearted with GILL and that kept me sane, throughout.
