I pursued that one a little with SCOTTIE in terms of 'look at NAZI GERMANY - a lot of historians say that it came about because of a 'crisis of national identity'....i.e. they got screwed by every other country...then decided to form a really strong homogenous ID - 'one ID fits all'...which was coincidentally a really FASCIST and 'superiority complex one'...and nearly managed to destroy EUROPE...

The CZECHS are trying to do the same thing...form one strong NATIONAL ID...and it is worrying me...because they ID as GERMANS (even though their language is so like POLISH that the POLES can understand what they are saying - the GERMANS cannot understand a word)...they like the German way of life...they scorn other Slavic countries...but they want their FOLKLORE to be CELTIC....what is wrong with these people?

Scottie didn't figure that was worth answering...i couldn't find any answers and so let it drop...I raised it with COLLIE who figured that 'fairytale Celtic nonsense' might do them good...I have no idea why...
