Viking Stave Church - Norway

We were led in to have a look around...it was all 'dark wood' and rather forbidding...we were told that the religion 'wasn't Christian' but nobody informed us, as to what it had actually been...the guide didn't appear to know...

Looking at it again...the networks are telling me that it reminds them of the 'OWL HOUSE' hotel in INTERLAKEN...it certainly does...the 'feathers of the owl'...what was the name of that hotel again...it wasn't the HARDER MINERVA one...another but still in the centre...

...and this all reminds me of what at JAPANESE friend had said at WARWICK in relation to the 'early Christians' who had arrived upon the JAPANESE coastline...'we saw them as an inferior religion and culture - we saw them as CANNIBALS'...
