I had always found that 'tragedy' a mystery - it wasn't as if they had plunged into the ARCTIC CIRCLE and been unable to survive for 5 minutes because of the cold...yes the THAMES would be terrifying to swim through, terribly cold...horribly polluted...but you see, most of them died...it was 'not right'...most of them were young and fit - and they would have been able to swim the 100 yards or so, ashore...something very wrong about that news item.
