That MATISSE photograph:

HENRI MATISSE
ARABESQUE 1924
LITHOGRAPH
47.7 X31.6CM
VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM
PHOTO C V&A PICTURE LIBRARY C SUCCESSION H MATISSE/DACS 2005

MATISSE, HIS ART AND HIS TEXTILES:
THE FABRIC OF DREAMS
THE SACKLER WING, ROYAL ACADEMY OF ARTS
5 MARCH-30 MARCH 2005

...let me think...the word LITHOGRAPH came up yesterday in relation to the LITHOSTRATUS...

....PONTIUS PILATE and all that (where JESUS was supposedly imprisoned before his trial within this building - see previous notes)...how odd that this site was given a GREEK NAME rather than a ROMAN/ITALIAN one...upon the VIA DOLOROSA in JERUSALEM...
