In RED: bemin

...and now I can remember...ANGELIQUE was a rather daring French film for its time...the young woman is of mixed race but she can pass for 'white' and she has gold hair with a 'darker than normal' skin for a blonde...she enters the court of the king...or member of the local aristocracy...I forget which...she ends up at a palace during a time of revolution...it is a truly scary film - as people come out from behind wall hangings and stab each other, run each other through with swords...it was a sort of SUN-KING VERSAILLES type of palace...and at the end of the film, she gets burnt at the stake...it was a really horrifying film to watch...
