I know what the HULA HOOPS was about...because SCARLETT had assigned this product to me in 1980...we were all assigned a different chocolate bar, crisp packet etc...presumably because these major companies had bought shares in us...

Anyway, I can remember...whilst working part-time as an 'information assistant' at the Ikon Modern art gallery in B'ham...RICK GAGOLA the education manager (as gay as they come) told me that he had had a phonecall from the local newspaper and HULA HOOPS who wanted to do a promotion...he wanted me and another young woman, hired as 'information assistants' to help out...so we did...we were given packets of hula hoops to arrange in a design outside of the gallery and then the photographer asked the other young woman to pose behind them...he didn't ask me. I wondered why at the time...

GAGOLA mused about that one too - I was far 'prettier'...

I now know what had happened...this young woman was being prostituted out...her photo appeared in the local paper...she then found another job in town - managing a cheap books store...what was that store called...cut-price books...there used to be one in IPSWICH but it then closed down...

The same thing was to happen to me in SHANGHAI...my photo appeared in the local newspaper - one of their photographers had snapped me at a KITE festival on campus, holding one of those colourful kites...the KITE was in the shape of a BUTTERFLY...

PUTIN's men turned up later on saying 'we knew that you were in trouble - after we had seen that photo'...I hadn't a clue.
