Anyway, GILL had begun to circle FRANCE in his mind...mainly because his appearance meant that he could pass as looking like a French joo...very easily...and also an Italian joo...and the French tend to love the Italians, as FRANCO was to tell me, something to do with sharing a very similar Latinate language...which is why he eventually moved there...the Italians are very much 'appreciated' in FRANCE...so he found it easy to work there as a photo-journalist...
