RUTH BEATTY's last email from NPOWER was rather odd - she had told me that she would get back to me by 'the close of business' and that was this FRIDAY.

The phrase reminded me of MI5 but I couldn't remember why...and so I simply thought - the last time BEATTY wrote to me...it was at the weekend and I had commented upon that one in my blog...

So if the 'close of business' was on FRIDAY...then how come she was working on a SATURDAY?

Anyway, I apparently got the above email at 5.30pm...and only just opened it now...to remember the lot:

I had been counting on ELIZA MANNINGHAM-BULLER (and JONATHAN EVANS) to get MI5 back into the business of being a real intelligence service for the UK...and not a lapdog of the ill...i had had a conversation with them upon those lines...I was a bit worried that EMB was still under their control and warned her not to be evil/evol (would that be LOVE backwards as in controlled by the LOEB/LOEVE family?)...she laughed and said that she would send me an 'all clear sign' as MISS MONEYPENNY.

Hence the above email from 'PENNY'.

So it is all looking a lot more hopeful then - for the country at large - MI5 back in business - no more YATES control...
