I now have to type in RED gatraph

MORRISONS supermarket yesterday:

I put in the correct money into a self-service machine, obviously making sure this time that I had the right change - the money all disappeared and then I was asked for 20p more.

I wonder if it every works the other way round? You put too little in and it registers that you have paid - I bet it doesn't.

Anyway, the assistant told me that if I knew that I had put in the right change then that was enough for her - she then checked the machine for stuck coins - put another 20p in and gave me a receipt.

So 10 out of 10 for MORRISSONS and 0 out of 10 for SAINSBURYS.

i had my 20p refunded at MORRISSONS whereas SAINSBURYS took 60p or more off me - illegally I might add.

...and if SAINSBURYS do that to so many customers - it all adds up, doesn't it?

Both stores are probably cursing the manufacturer of those machines...and there will probably be private court cases...because somebody has to redesign/repair the faulty goods - don't they?

in fact, I can remember now, remote-viewing this in the future...and talking with MORRISSONS about it...they hadn't budgeted as a store to take the machines off the shop floor and replace them with staff at tills...so they had to continue using them - whilst trying to get the manufacturers to do something about the fault in the design...an ill cult company made them.

The design fault is related to CASH - this could be for a multitude of reasons - certain coins are not being picked up by the machine scanner - which might be worth an investigation by the police...forgeries? Anyway, the easiest way to handle it is to get the manufacturers to knock out the CASH PAYING IN till of these machines and to simply make them 'card' machines. The CARD function appears to be working normally - just like a normal scan operation and receipt at the end of it. You get your goods itemised and 'no mistakes' one hopes.
