A prompt reply from NPOWER for once but unfortunately they are LYING again - the electricity bill that I received stated that it was an ACTUAL reading and not an ESTIMATED one, as was the gas bill that I received - both bills were supposed to be ACCURATE readings - combining my electric and gas bill...and BOTH were supposed to be up until the 8th APRIL 2011.

What can you do?

"Please be assured that you will be not charged for anything other than what you have been billed for prior to 08 April 2011"

At least I appear to have got a promise out of them that after I have paid this combined bill up until 8th APRIL 2011 - that they will not go back and say 'oops - we forgot to bill you for those time periods for which you didn't receive bills' - but there again....well, what do you think?

Thank you for your further email.
I can confirm that the balance of £463.96 is correct. The previous amount of £448.82 was due to the electricity part of your account only being billed up to an estimated reading of 1656 for 10 March 2011. An accurate read was then received and the account was billed up to 08 April 2011 . This increased the previous balance on your account from £448.82 to £463.98 as the electricity balance has increased from £78.57 to £93.73.

Please be assured that you will be not charged for anything other than what you have been billed for prior to 08 April 2011
