MARTINE appears to have decided that she has come to terms with the fact that she is really a little boy...and like the loving relationship that MARTIN had with his adoptive father...MARTINE figures that MARTIN is her 'real parent'...and that he is strong enough to protect her...although being forced up that dam...like a baby tied to his back in a papoose (as children we had been taught to have 'eyes in the backs of our heads') was really too much for her at the time...

i have commented upon this one before...it is a gender issue...I had no problems letting HENRY take the lead in whatever i did...my tomboy alter who had realised that 'he' was really a 'she' but what did it matter...I was still 'me' and still going to fight them...but MARTINE had a lot more to work out than that...
