Let me think hard...maybe CAROLINE was there...but I am having difficulty remembering her face...which is odd considering we hadn't met for so long and I would have been very interested to know what she looked like as an adult...all I can remember is meeting up with a small crowd of people at the reception - and the jovial 'bonhommie' of EDWIN and ARNOLD...and how 'they hadn't changed a bit'...yes CAROLINE must have been there, with her husband...it was SOPHIE who hadn't attended because she wasn't well...

...my main concern was 'how odd it was' that UNCLE BOBBY and MICHAEL weren't there and that side of the family...as well as the French...but then they were a Catholic family I suppose (ISABEL used to wear a cross around her neck as a child) and the marriage was a 'state' one - so perhaps 'etiquette'/social rules, around that one...

...yes I can remember greeting CAROLINE now but a telepathic 'don't recognise me' being relayed...I wonder why...was she working for 'intelligence'...isn't that odd...perhaps that is why I am not supposed to go to this funeral because it looks that way, doesn't it?

Well, all I can do is the 'proper thing' - send condolences and ask if it is appropriate to send flowers and to what address etc etc...
