I knew that there was something 'funny' going on immediately after getting that email from my father, this SUNDAY morning...you see, when my mother has a new bit of news...she is on the phone all morning and to a long list of people...and she would have rung me up on that 'rota' of calls...she would have taken control of the situation and 'organised' the lot...but she didn't...ARNOLD had apparently died on WEDNESDAY and my mother would have almost certainly called me that evening or THURSDAY morning...but she didn't...
