I had a bath and thought about it all a bit more…

…and LINDA FORD came up for some reason…because I had remembered a teenage conversation about WISHBONE THIGHS…LINDA who had got very tubby by that point in time…was talking about when she was young…how when she put her knees together…she was so thin that she had this inverted triangle space in between her legs…and then I remembered LISA at the DTO, looking through a fashion mag - seeing a severely underweight model who had this ‘look’ as an adult and wishing that she looked the same…even though she had the ‘perfect figure’ at the time…but almost too thin…

…and then I remembered that LINDA FORD was allowed to go home for lunch at LANGLEY JUNIORS…only a few children were…it was denied to most of us…and almost everybody asked, at some point in time…LINDA was skin and bone…with dark circles under her eyes…much thinner than DEB MCDONOUGH come to think of it…DEB always used to look healthy…even though she was generally thought of as the ‘thinnest girl in school’…and then there was KATY TOVEY who looked really anorexic but not of her own doing…her mother was starving her…with enforced violin practice for hours, before she was allowed any supper…and KATY used to faint on her desk in the afternoons sometimes - so the school got involved…and there was a big hoo-haa about that one with her mother coming into the classroom, to get angry with MRS ELLIOT our form tutor etc etc…

Anyway, what was going on in LINDA FORD’s life? Obviously she was severely under-nourished too…and ‘no school dinners’ which I can remember DEB and SUE relying upon…if they were denied supper for being ‘rude’ etc etc…

I can remember LINDA as a teenager - in conversation with GILL…she treated him as ‘one of them’…and talked about me in relation to ‘she’s not like us, dearie’…and LINDA knew all about MOSHE DAYAN etc…so another ‘secret jooish’ family…ORTHODOX I suppose because she used to go round and play with GILL’s sister…why all of the secrecy?

MELANIE GRIFFITHS was part of the rebel group…openly JOOISH ORTHODOX at school…and no problems there…GILL was upfront too, as far as I can remember…so why, so many ‘hidden jewish families’…what was going on?

I had always figured that the US CAR COMPANY ‘FORD’ must have been behind LINDA’s rise within the ill cult but in point of fact, I cannot remember…

LINDA sometimes acted like JUDY ELLIOTT…she once told me a warning story about JACQUELINE CUTTING - her best friend in 4U…how she had broken down and cried because LINDA had reminded her of how she had been cruel to her in elementary school, by refusing to play with her…and LINDA had then grimly told her “it’s too late now, dearie - it’s too late now”…..LINDA was in fact, warning me that I mustn’t cross her - or abandon her friendship or something ‘nasty’ would happen to me too…that was the implication…JUDY-style I suppose…”I wave my magic wand…” etc etc…

...and then I found an entry for LYNDA'S PETS AND PLANTS on the WARWICK ROAD, SOLIHULL...LINDA's family lived a few houses down from DOVEHOUSE PARADE...in a bungalow because her father was in a wheelchair by that point in time...and I can remember her laughing about me being her 'pet'...pointing out the petshop on DOVEHOUSE PARADE...
