What were the ill up to and why?

To re-landscape these gardens...change them around...so thoroughly?

What were the ill up to with GARDENING programmes i might add?

They created the most disgusting and ill back and front gardens imaginable...

You see...what I LOVED about BLACKHEATH and also CLACTON was that they let their bushes, shrubs and trees GROW AND GROW over many decades...barely cutting them back at all....and there were beautiful flowers/blossoms as a result and the scent of those lovely flowers....

...yet on BBC - everybody who 'worked hard' ( as in didn't have time to do any 'gardening' which in itself is a theraputic pleasure) was supposed to make their front garden and back yard 'SHINGLE STREET'...loads of gravel (you could get really expensive 'dyed different colours' gravel)...a few large ROCKS and a few really ugly bushes in plant pots...and maybe a reddish dyed wooden verandah/patio...so UGLY...it was evil...
