I also remembered asking one of the MA Chinese students at WARWICK about eating potatoes...yes, she said that they were YANG...too YANG in fact and bad to eat...so I asked her about the North - the cold parts of China...wouldn't potatoes be good to eat there? She came back to me upon that one after consultation with her friends...yes the Chinese did eat potatoes but not really...they were YAMS...those PINK SWEET POTATOES...in the North...

The Chinese then decided to taste FISH AND CHIPS...very distasteful in relation to the CHIPS...boring...once you have eaten one - why would you want to eat another, never mind a whole plateful?

You could say the same about RICE and NOODLES but I didn't...too polite...something 'odd' was going on here...
