I began to wonder if anybody had ever used SPETIMAN before as a general term of abuse...

The only entry on GOOGLE appeared to be this:

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=QaILUp7bNdkC&pg=PA500&lpg=PA500&dq=spetiman&source=bl&ots=U5lno08FEd&sig=UzwGikJ6az4k3d2k94RAPsohUEY&hl=en&ei=HipRTIK-CIaM0gTf6JSBBw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CBkQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=spetiman&f=false

Norwegian dictionary: English-Norwegian, Norwegian-English By Kari BrÄtveit

The word highlighted wasn't SPETIMAN but another one:

SPECIMEN

i wonder now...if this is MCDONALD's hand at work...some programming that I am not aware of?

The SPEC-I-MEN?

Was this the 'new look' DIDDYMEN?

Additionally I can remember these:

THE WALKING/WAR-KING

WAR-KEY

WALKIES

WALKIE-TALKIE WAR KEY TORE KEY

i now have to type in a RED code:

undant
