Actually I need to make an amendment to the post below - whilst looking at the latest bill which states that I have used 144 units of gas.

I have been charged two amounts for it:

£122.10 (for 1478) at 8.261p

£3.46 (for 138) at 2.507p

So we have 144 units which equals 1478 + 138 = 1616

1616 = 144 units

What is the percentage of 1478 to 1616?

91.46%

What is the percentage of 138 to 1616?

8.54%

1478 x 8.261 = £122.10

…and the same for the second amount in terms of the multiplication £3.46

The point here is that you can do the so-called ‘working out’ above…but it is all a LIE.

…because I have been charged the SAME AMOUNT for using 350 units as I was for 600 units of gas.
