So there were two main things which were used to set GILL against me:

CLASS
RELIGION
GENDER

He had been taught to hate anybody who wasn't ISLAMIC.

He had been taught to hate/fear all women.

He had been taught to hate the MIDDLE-CLASSES.


It is really strange to my mind - how we managed to get on, at all - in later years.
