I then remembered TAXI DRIVER on at Solihull cinema...I was there with GILL...now this is beginning to make a lot more sense...I remember telling him that this film was actually interesting...not the usual crap...and so we watched it through...and it was during this 'showing' that I laughed out loud at the MOHICAN hairstyle and GILL remarked 'that's not funny - why do you think it's funny - do you find punk funny?' I had to admit that I did not and so stopped laughing.

However, I can now see that LAUGHING at that point in the movie - might have given GILL a different perspective upon himself (or not as the case may be) because TODDY had obviously set the whole 'show' up in order to program GILL with TAXI-DRIVER later on...TODDY tells me that it was SCARLETT's idea.
