...those tomato boxes...in the 60s...this was before the age of the supermarket...and you used to go to the local greengrocers...and if you were to buy a large amount of vegetables...the greengrocer would usually give you one of those boxes...to carry the lot home in....

let me have a look on google...oh i remember now...BI couldn't find that vintage type of tomato box...and so they were to put up 'this one' instead:

the ones that i am talking about...were made of much thinner wood...the above looks a bit like a 'drawer'....plus they were shallower but with a similar sort of design upon the sides....

wait a minute...this is a bit more like it...the bottom was made of 'slats'...
