a NEW NPOWER letter - I am glad that they are cooperating, in the end:

As usual, an 'after 08:00' METER READING appointment...

Come off it...do you really expect all NPOWER clients - particularly those who start work at 08:00 (or do shift work) to agree to that nebulous time schedule?

I mean - you could wait from 08:00 until 9pm in the evening...whenever NPOWER feels like it...the NPOWER METER-READER gave me an idea of that one - saying that client didn't like to be bothered 'late in the evening'...no, I am sure that they do not...particularly NOT after they have been forced to wait from 08:00 in the morning, for the NPOWER meter-reader to arrive...and if they couldn't take a 'day off work to do so'...to get people who would 'come in' to 'open the door' etc etc...

Yes the letter tells you to phone up and organise a 'better time' but on their phoneline? It is as costly as hell (for myself on ORANGE)...whilst pretending that it is an 0845 'CHEAP' number.

Why don't they get rid of PHONELINES and get people to communicate via EMAIL.

We all have access to email via the PUBLIC LIBRARIES.

Better idea - let us have both - a phone-line and email service.

EMAIL costs you almost nothing. MOBILE PHONES cost you the earth.
