i know what the EMB comment is all about - MRS VIRGINIA GRAHAM - the excellent English teacher at Solihull 6th Form - I remember her writing this blog, at least partially from her own memories...although she did tell my class that she was retiring to WALES at the end of the year...TODDY says AUSTRALIA actually, to escape the ill cult...and the blog gives a reference to CANADA as 'immigrants' for some reason...

She was the one who encouraged us to see the humour in English literature...in Austen, in Chaucer, in Shakespeare...in short, we loved her classes...and as a result, a high proportion of the class got A's in our A level - unheard of for so many people to do so in one class.
