DABYDEEN put the whole 'slavery' question to me - in 1991 - in relation to BELOVED...what was the point of having children born into slavery...surely the kindest thing is to kill them off...and my argument against that one was that one day, you would have children, grandchildren who would manage to escape, form a resistance and stop slavery...in my naivety...I had no idea about what he was really talking about...ill cult mind control slavery...I figured he was talking about the POST-COLONIAL THEORY classes he was running about colonial slavery, that had been abolished in most parts of the world...

So in my own lifetime, I took the 'better not to have them at all' route...even though, I figured that it was a good idea to have them too...just whether you can bear to see them tortured by the ill or not...whether you can keep control of your own mind enough to 'see them through' it all...give them the means to escape...I figured that I wasn't strong enough to do that...I had enough on my plate.
