oh and the odd thing is, that some time ago now - when it was really 'icy' on the pavements....i was down by the pier at the time, having just walked down the hill and under the bridge...and had to step over an 'ice' slide of frozen water from a flooded drain...two elderly ladies were to comment upon it....after watching me carefully step over it....one of them was a dead-ringer for 'mrs holliday' - she told her friend knowledgeably that they would have to contact the council immediately, about it etc etc...nota bene the sandbags and flooding in the following pic...a problem in the late 80s...mrs holliday had contacted the local council but it was one of those things that appeared to fall between two stools and so nothing was done about it...hmmm...the flooding appears to be coming from a field....go figure:
now the odd thing about the pic above...is that...well, let me backtrack...this morning, i was to have a look at the scaffolding upon the back of travelodge from my living room window....the colours upon a certain segment of the zigzagged stairway up to the top etc etc.....look at the colours upon the road....what a coincidence, eh?...and yes, the masons had also wanted a reminder in some rather alternate 'dimension'....lol....anyway, what is this really all about then...a legal problem, regarding flooding between the landowner and the local council...is blackstone road a private one etc etc....oh and what about travelodge....remember all of the problems regarding that private road around the back - full of potholes...which worsen by the year etc etc...."no man's land" replies BI online...oh so you do remember what this is all about, then?....go figure:
