phosphor....I can remember asking daldry in 1980...."are they going to paint us with phosphorus?"...."not quite" he was to reply...we had been talking about that ghost story entitled THE GHOSTLY DRUMMER BOY...regarding a little boy - made to work for smugglers in a church graveyard on the coast...they used to paint him with phosophorus paint....the sea mists kept his skin moist...so that the phosphorus didn't burn...until one night - the mists lifted early...he tried to wash it off in the church font....to no avail...he died a horrible death...to then haunt the graveyard for real....a children's tale...from a paperback book of ghost stories, from my youth....
