OTHER NOTES:

since 'girl child alters' are still topical today...and well, how do I put it? there was a 'good side' to them...they weren't necessarily demonic...see previous notes upon how 'martine' couldn't speak but she could telepathically tell me 'what was going on'...warn me, where necessary...and Grayson used to do the same, in relation to his 'mother/child' relationship with jo brand...see previous notes upon that Exeter house....anyway, I was to buy the NATIONAL ENQUIRER...note the backpage advert...oh and I forgot to mention that I was to borrow that MRS BROWN dvd from Clacton library, today...having been unable to watch the 'last one' bought off the internet...because gill's laptop won't take 'blu-ray' for some reason...well, it wouldn't play that disk, at any rate...I have no idea why....

MRS BROWN...I can remember mark vizard saying that the comedy wasn't funny at all...that it was extremely offensive to the irish....well, yes - one can see that...but in an 'it's so bad - it doesn't exist - but it does and that is the enigma' sort of way...I can remember 'feeling the same' after having watched an episode of THE VICAR OF DIBLEY...that wasn't what I had remembered of my conscientious grandmother, on her hands and knees rubbing the brass in combs church, Suffolk....arranging the flowers...cleaning the pews....oh and let us not forget the French reaction to CLOCHMERLE....what am I saying? only that there is a place for offensive humour...in relation to 'it's so bad - it doesn't exist'...and polish intelligence, who had been behind MRS BROWN - see previous notes...had wanted to say 'something' about irish Catholicism, I suppose...in relation to polish Catholicism...Italian Catholicism...who knows? for my own part - I love the character...yes, I know that it is a man dressed as a woman...but the whole character in terms of a matriarchy...well, it's a bit like hanni gloor 'in control of her environment - as matron in a hospital'....naïve but worldly....from a different generation but still with her finger 'on the pulse'...a matriarch who is trying to do the right thing but there is 'temptation on every side'...and nobody can get one over her etc etc...anyway, that is why I watch it...
