i had a walk across the bridge in front of the pier and took a photo of this brochure left in the middle - heavily rained upon - it was still raining a bit, at the time...anyway, as is often the case, the automatic function on my camera wasn't working and it didn't focus....but at least it was a reminder - i use this cheap camera as a 'notebook'...i am not interested in photography as 'fine art' etc etc...

so what did it remind me of?

cameron intoning 'CHINA has left the GOLDEN CITY'

i wondered what he had meant by that...i then saw  'GOLD LEAVES'  printed on what appeared to have been a cardboard box for tobacco - a bit further on...and then a GREEN rizla packet....

i then remembered MACHINE...something that amadeus used to program with:

MA-CHINE as in 'my china'...
