interesting...i now understand the meaning of 'helical'  better - if wiki is correct in its usage....remember the french jesuit documents - sent to me by my chinese teacher friend at shanghai jiao tong university....to do with helical risings of venus....i had searched for the word 'helical' to find out that it was something to do with the sun....and heat....and rising....but within the context of the wiki definition...

helical refers to helix - the adjective....'coiling'
