last night, i was to watch BEST OF THE BEST...to remember what a good movie, it is....and how so many from MI5/BI had enjoyed watching it, so many years ago - now....anyway, so why was it important to dig up that movie, again?...well, as andrew marr had pointed out to his gang, at the time....some of the korean-medallists-in-red (a sequence shown during a presentation by the 'blonde psychic trainer' ha ha ha - shades of DARK PLACE), had born a remarkable resemblance to malcolm stredwick (either him or 'bingo' the bananasplits drummer)...malcolm, who had been rather fond of telling the children assembled in his front room....that he was learning russian and was also a master of taekwondo....until that is...he challenged michael richardson (andrew marr)'s gang, to a 'match'...whereupon the gang linked hands...one of them then stood up and accepted the challenge...and the upshot of it all?....malcolm got a kick-up-his-cocyxx and so hard...it sent his head into the wall...knocked him out, completely...his wife was then to run in, screaming...how had he managed to knock himself out on the sitting room wall....by a small table with a crimson cloth upon it...where he kept his 'magician's books' as well as copy of pravda?

....hmmm... well, i would guess that the mystery-around-that-one has finally been resolved....oh and it's a two-birds-with-one-stone number, rimington....because i can also solve another mystery, this friday morning....and one that the rowling/random house mob have posed....how come JK has never visited the fire station pub (THE OLD FIREHOUSE) in exeter?....but the real authors of the harry potter books, have not only visited that pub....gill used to stay above it....he was to tell me "only call me there - if it's desperate"...and one day, i ended up in a largish room above that pub....to tell a certain assembly...what had happened at essex university....gill and i, then pieced together - precisely what we had co-written, let us say....oh and i might add that the year was....let me think...

....i left dartington (so did gill)...turned up in exeter - circa 1989...lived there off and on, until i returned to b'ham....to take that radio journalist course in 1991/2...between 1989-1991 then....the first 'harry potter' book was published in 1997...

....and so you tell me how that 'august' assembly, which had gathered together....above the fire station pub...knew all about the harry potter books - before they were even published...apart from 'the last one' of course...because i had refused to write it....i had stopped work - having told tomlinson that they could murder me if they liked but that i wouldn't write another word...go figure.

anyway, in a certain largish room, above the fire station pub, in exeter....that 'august community' had gathered....because gill had told them that the books had been a metaphor for something 'scientific' concerning the time/space continuum...and naturally they were all interested...i was to return to that room, later on - after they had all gone - to see what looked a bit like an 'incident room' ha ha ha...so many diagrams on paper...all over one wall etc etc....and what else?...well, robert's network - appears to have picked up the detail and from all over the shop...e.g. names of certain members of that august community - as well as what had happened in malcolm stredwick's sitting room, in the late 60s...can you separate the two, from each other - dear reader?...ha ha ha...oh and andrew marr's network have picked up upon what was perhaps the most salient point of all...a copy of the pravda logo....whilst the rowling/random house network has given away the game entirely...by publishing a twitter heading image...of malcolm's table-and-books-in-the-corner-of-the-stredwick's-sitting-room....along with managing to take 'affront' to the mention of the fire station pub, in exeter....go figure.
