'on top of the world'...something that rimington and i, had realised...about 'being in tibet'...'a common phrase' in relation to being 'that high up'...and also on top of a rather high 'faded grandeur' building in harwich - see previous notes...upon a rather narrow roof, in terms of 'what you could walk on' in relation to the sloping edges - with intermittent chimney pots....rimington was having a laughing gas attack and jostling me as we crossed the tiles...."on top of the world"....i then added that if i 'went', she would do, too...and we both giggled and giggled....side by side, jostling each other, a bit - as we walked to the end of the roof....nearest to the seafront....and then back again to safety....back into the building....

JUMPER has an 'on top of the world' metaphor...but that appears to be a pyramid...relating to the sphinx of cairo.....

OTHER NOTES:

'on top of the world' programming....related to a couple of beach-huts or more...as i was to find out today...whilst taking photos of the annual 'christmas swim-in-the-sea' off clacton beach...i am not sure if it was 'legal' because i had read somewhere, recently that other 'swims' had been banned around the UK because somebody had had a heart-attack or something like that...

anyway, having noted that 'emergency services' were not around...no police and not an ambulance in sight...i was to realise that this was a 'people' event....it had been organised because people like the tradition and do not want the PC brigade to spoil their fun....it is a 'tradition' after all, isn't it? have they banned 'bull-fighting' in spain, yet ?....etc etc....and i would bet that photo-journalist franco zecchin would have loved the whole thing as a 'local tradition' and been out 'on the front line' taking photos of this 'very english' occasion...

i am not a professional photographer and i use my cheap camera as a 'notebook'...to record events...rather than to sell my photos and 'make news' or 'art' out of them....

'on top of the world'...rimington will have known other 'uses' of that phrase...and i wonder now, about those beach-huts....

you see, yesterday 'toddy and his pleasure palaces in california' had come up....a culture which used to 'keep themselves safe' by having 'safety words'....opposed to the MKULTRA culture which does not....MKULTRA programmers want to 'break' those that they intend to turn into slaves....toddy's 'pleasure palace culture' was intent on 'having fun' and not 'breaking' anybody...and so there must have been a conflict between those two cultures?...in relation to what is 'PC' and what is not?...in relation to 'consenting adults' - which is of course, very important indeed....
