the funny thing about NINI is that i can remember sitting in her diplomat's flat - in the diplomatic quarter of BERNE...her husband used to control the shipping lanes for the EU - before his early death from cancer....jean monnier....he died really young....

anyway, lisa was present at the time....and i can remember nini laughing about aunt colette whom she described as 'mad'....'very eccentric'...she had no idea that i had attended the paris school...nor that my first language had been french....nor that i  could speak it fluently (albeit old-fashioned french) in a young child alter....she laughed about how colette 'had her ways' and that it didn't surprise her....colette had been involved in so many different things...different projects....

so NINI had known zero about myself until that point in time....i must have been in my late thirties....

now why would COLETTE keep nini in the dark - that is my next question....
