oh i get it now...the ill had 'jumped him' on the paris metro....and he would have been programmed with 'what was on the card'....he couldn't surface why it was important to keep the card and so passed it on to me for 'safekeeping'....

i have kept this paris travelcard...for so many years...franco had given it to me circa 1993....i wasn't clear why but i knew that it was 'important'....
