i then remembered AL telling me that she would 'put in' two teeshirts....in PEACOCKS....and that one would be the real shade of the lilac flowers in our garden in blackheath...

you see, it was an ancient tree....everybody said so...and an odd colour for a lilac tree....

it was....let me see...my mother used to choose a lipstick exactly the same colour....

oh i remember now...the british royals had programmed in that 'google lilac search' so that i wouldn't be able to find the right 'healing shade' of colour....none of the images upon the entire search is 'right'....so i will have to find the shades elsewhere....

the lipstick 'plumrose' is the closest match in fact...and i can remember my swiss grandmother saying that the colour  of that lilac tree was 'plum'....
