I can now remember a bit more about helen dressed in black and white...tomlinson intoning "you are the gameboard upon which we play" - so very nasty indeed...a bit like a chessboard/draughtsboard....also used in masonic imagery quite a bit...the black and white tiled floor of the royal palace....after 'marshall/temple guardian' had come up the stairs and entered the hallway....
