anyway, I can remember rimington showing gill 'something' in relation to the image below:

this was something around an 'explosion in the brain' and then the mind scuttles sideways...rimington was using the metaphor of a riptide to explain it...look at the diagram...a bit like a nuclear explosion, eh?

oh and the lady in the shop - was to show me that this 'mechanical crab' actually does scuttle sideways...she was to wind it up and then let it go, on the floor...
