OTHER NOTES:

having watched 'disk 1' last night (LIVERPOOL to SCARBOROUGH)...

....somebody was playing music really loudly in one of belle court flats and until after midnight (stuff like 'the bangles' to remind me of jade, perhaps?).....

anyway, I watched the video until it was quite late (with the sound on low and subtitles)...to then watch the remaining episodes this morning...the dvd had been tampered with....

I was to remember the 'cheese counter' scene, at TOD MORDEN...and the taschmanns turning up...to go through the 'military internet' on their equipment, as it were...in order to program in digital distortions...changing the colour/positioning of different rectangles...and adding their own...as memory aids...testcards etc - to be put onto DVD afterwards......and col was to forward on the following...something around that TIMEWARNER satellite and 'something terrible'...the taschmanns had found out where it was....col was to say "I think it's that building"....they were to talk about a 'roger wallis' in tod morden...along with a dr morten....the doctor had joked that his name was partly an anagram of tod morden....'odd morten'...


col and the taschmanns were to program in another 'effect' to talk about what I 'knew' about but they hadn't quite dug up, at the time...you see MW and HR had taken over the taschmann gang, by that point in time and were running them for...well that polish woman and her irish husband's mafia...."irish Nazi party" replies MI5 ONLINE.

col and the taschmanns were to program in a mismatch between 'sound and vision'...they were also to program in 'the black line is slower than the others'...the idea being? well I suppose that the metaphor was their version of talking about that 'fridge meets car' computer script system...

...but they were to make it all the more interesting and vivid...imagine the scenario...where the world is so 'out of synch'...in relation to sound waves travelling faster than image waves...no,  that's not right let me explain it better....in relation to human beings as 'receivers and decoders'...i.e. on the dvd....you get what is being said after you have seen portillo and his interviewee saying it...and to make it all even odder...you get the subtitles at a different point in time, too...a real mix-up...

so I sat there for some while...listening to what had just been said...whilst watching the scene, which had moved on to another interview...and I was therefore simultaneously reading the subtitles to what they were saying in the next interview...whilst listening to the soundtrack of the last interview...

anyway, I cannot be bothered to organise my 'snips' from disk 1, into any coherent order....suffice to say it all mainly centred upon 'tod morden'...after that, I was free to watch the disk 'unhindered' by all of those crazy mosaic patterns/split screens etc etc...and yes, the 'sound' also returned to normal...

...and so what you see 'above and below' are 'where that dvd froze upon a crazy taschmann image' and sometimes for a considerable amount of time, I might add...
