...you can talk about the brechtian alienation effect...in relation to this piece and with no problems at all but only in relation to the soundtrack...

...and so despite the 'let me play/sing you the song of my people' soundtrack, mcdonald...i was able to 'make it through' to the end of this particular circus show...

...and having got through the 'song of my people' horror by turning the sound off, it then all becomes problematic at first (if you don't know where the producers were 'coming from' in their heads, at the time)...when you realise that the 'visual text' doesn't appear to have any meaning, at all...a random assembly of 'whatever'...

which is why I was to label it 'papier mache' at first...along the lines of 'go on set fire to the whole set'...not just the text that the clown is holding...make a clean job of it...get rid of any meaningful 'text' whatsoever....

....anyway, the above was not so, in point of fact - as I was to realise, about halfway through - there was 'meaning' to be had but you had to look hard...see previous post....it is just that MW's mental robots' team...had jumbled up a lot of Mormon/Abrahamic religious symbolism (their scientology cult had been influenced by Mormonism - see previous notes)...for example we have the pillars of Solomon's temple towards the end...and a 'Jerusalem yellow' oriental anti-Christ appears early on (watch out for massive 'dim sum' basketcase motifs, spinning on stage....racist? yes, the thought did cross my mind) - and then we have the 'risen aerialist'...who is portrayed as the 'Christ figure' of the piece...and also, technically speaking - as the aerial to the tv....the aerial and tv, then perform a 'dance' together, at the end...which ends up in a sort of 'cryogenics fridge of a Catherine wheel'....go figure:

anyway, you have a lot of apocalyptic and biblical symbolism, going on upon stage and throughout this 'sketchy' narrative...and I was reminded of that 'hazel o' connor' track, towards the end..."behold what I have done..." etc etc....

so yes, we have a brief glimpse of the serpent, in this demonic Zionist production...and then the ending...where the risen Christ is met by his Magdalene...or 'aerial meets tv' if you prefer....and they then end up 'frozen' in a sort of cryogenics showcase....and being airlifted up, in front of a spinning, icy Catherine wheel....it all makes sense, if you think about it, McDonald...but you have to 'think hard' - don't you?
