...and what else, dazzlenation?...well, an update upon how well CHP are performing at present...first up - after waiting up until nearly half past two in the morning, for their plumber to turn up to fix that bathroom radiator....i rang up again to inquire if he had had difficulty in finding the place etc etc...CHP's automated telephone system was to put me through to a liverpool number, oddly enough....0151 343 2778.....and this is where it gets really bizarre.....because the liverpudlian man-on-the-end-of-the-line....didn't say that he was currently situated at wirral hospice....in point of fact, he simply asked which housing agency, i was with...i replied CHP.....and he then told me that CHP didn't handle emergency repairs for radiators.....additionally, he was to tell me that their automated menu contained an option for aaron services ltd and that i should have opted for that instead of the 'emergency repairs' option....i replied that there had been no aaron services ltd option....but that there had been an option for 'gas and heating' but not in terms of 'emergency repair'...he replied that i should choose that option....because i would then be put through to aaron services, who dealt with that type of repair....and so, dear reader....i had waited 3 and a 1/2 hours and needlessly, i might add....and that is because neither of the two CHP operatives, who had answered my call, beforehand....had bothered to tell me that they didn't cover radiators as an out-of-hours 'emergency repair' - despite me being unable to turn off that damn stopcock etc etc....whereas the man from wirral hospice (unless he has changed jobs recently and now has his private number as an out-of-hours CHP contact number) had known all about it....lol....although none of it is really 'funny', is it?...oh i see....one number difference....343 opposed to 334...and so not 'wirral hospice'....although one wonders if the intent was to single it out, in some way - for attention....wait a minute....more laughter....they've got both....343 and 334....his number is cited as being 'referrals' but without the same 4 digits following:
.....let me backtrack now....i then rang CHP again (after that redirected liverpool call) - see above...to choose the 'gas and heating option'...i was eventually put through to an Aaron services ltd operative...i could hear the keyboard rattling loudly, as he typed up his notes, upon the system....so loud, in fact - that it sounded a bit like an old-fashioned typewriter....isn't that weird?....anyway, he was to tell me that the best that he could do - was to raise an 8am 'first call' upon the system, for thursday morning....and so i thanked him for that....and what else?...well, he was to tell me something very odd, indeed....having told him about the jammed stopcock....he was to tell me that Aaron services didn't deal with stopcocks and that i would have to raise the matter with CHP again.....odd - because if you are doing 'gas and heating'....surely, you should also be allowed to deal with a jammed stopcock too?....however, he was emphatic about it....the stopcock was CHP's biznez and not Aaron services ltd...a division of labour, perhaps?...who knows.
