OTHER NOTES:

...and today i was reminded of a 'jokey session' around esther mckvey...along the lines of "you know what? i've seen her on TV before....remember those 80s local tv ads...you know the really cheap ones...a call centre for 'accident and emergency' umbrella sun life insurance ltd "just call this number today!"etc etc...where the blonde girl with a lot of make-up on in a business suit and high heels...can't read the autocue properly? well wasn't one of them called esther mckvey?"

...and she had been, hadn't she? esther had become a big joke, during the final years - at langley seniors - so we are talking late 70s/early 80s...the children used to mimic her as 'children do'...i can remember ed and ingabot imitating her...they loved the name for some reason...reasons of their own, i suppose..."esther mcvey"....

and so what is cameron's government doing...hiring a woman who looks just like the woman in those cheap local ads for an 'accident at work' insurance company in the 70s/80s on central TV in the midlands....who also bears the same name? the two cannot possibly be related - can they?

I suppose that dyed blonde hair/heavily made-up women...look the same at 20 as they do at 50...although if it is the same woman - she has loped off a few years of her age...a sort of 'j k rowling' then?...and a consummately bad actress....although esther obviously had what is called 'star charisma' and made it up the tree...

and I repeat the question...if it is the same woman....and even if it isn't...'esther mcvey' was such a standing joke on central TV in the midlands....everybody had heard of her...jokes were made about her....on that 'accident in the workplace' cheap local tv commercial....well, what is Cameron's government doing - hiring somebody 'like that' to front their DWP 'disability desk' for want of a better description....I might add that the commercial was wholly unbelievable and nobody could even imagine that anybody would want to call...
