OTHER NOTES:

last night i was to watch JULIE & JULIA to remember having seen it before...and BI were to come up to me afterwards and ask me what the whole thing had suggested to me...well, along the following lines...that portrait of julia childs in the exhibition...reminded me very much of rimington and the young woman was supposed to be 'like a daughter' to her...so that meant linda phyvian from langley seniors, didn't it? (last seen, on a train to bristol - whilst i was at dartington - apparently she was a dental assistant, at the time)...on the other hand - the actress who plays that role...appeared to have been chosen because she looked rather another actress - ANNA FRIEL - who had played the mistress of a pieshop, in a tv series...see previous notes....the director NORA EPHRON...wasn't she the wife of one of the coen brothers? next up - was that coen brother's wife playing 'one of the collaborators' upon julia's cookbook in the film? next up...the taschmanns/scullion/scullery/ta-da campaign was to come up...and i was to say that if i had made a film about julia...then it would have been a lot darker...for example, she appeared to have been an FO mind control slave...just like my aunt valentine...that sort of class as well, i might add...the taschmanns had been programmed with GORMENGHAST - those in the kitchens....and i would have lost that dreary and dull 'blog' about cooking all of her recipes...what does it do for the film? i would have added 'rimington in that templar castle kitchen making her own special brand of crabapple jelly' - see previous notes....let me see...this is something to do with the ill and recipes....re-see-peas? who knows? rec-i-pes?

anyway, after talking about the things that first came to mind - after watching that movie 'so many years ago now'...BI just walked off saying "that's all we need to know" and so presumably they knew what it was all about, beforehand...

let me see...no, ephron hadn't been married to one of the coen brothers...but I had been linking her to them - and that would have been important in some way...

anyway, I had been thinking of frances mcdormand....
