anyway, I've finally found the boat....but not cleared up the mystery....according to the two who could remember...it isn't the same boat...because the original one had 'gone down'....and if the original one had 'gone down'...perhaps we had better know the details of how and why...just in case this 'Viking pleasure boat' mark II...does the same thing, eh?

let me scan for more details...the marines had figured that it was all about that flat-bottomed hull....now the beaches have all been relandscaped and so that shouldn't be a problem...but it would certainly be worthwhile to make sure that none of those rocks have been thrown up 'wheretheyshouldntbe' by the storms/tides...etc etc....
