...and now I am beginning to 'get' what has recently happened....see previous notes upon daldry telling me that 'the whole thing' was a 'love story'...we were talking about a Czechoslovakian novel at the time...I was to counter "this is not a love story, this is not a love story" referencing that monotone punk popsong....but having thought about it all again...I would guess that daldry had been referencing that film LOVE STORY which is all about cancer...dying of cancer....
